We haven't been camping since Elias has been around. He's 2 now, definitely ready to enjoy it, and he did.

The 2 person backpacking tent is nice but a little small. After looking around, we decided to go straight to a big one. You know, plan for the future. One nice feature you can see here with the rain fly poked up at the bottom, there are screens all around the bottom so you can get some breeze if desired.
Maggie wouldn't stop whining until we went 'hiking'. The loop trail around the campground was good enough for her, and Elias got to ride in the backpack which he loves.

With a 2-year old, it's about going from one thing to hold his attention to the next. Here we see a nice piece of rose quartz he picked up from the driveway of our campsite. #B109 by the way, it has a very nice tent site.

We took an afternoon drive. It was such a clear day, seemed a shame to stay in the woods the whole time. This is the view east from an overlook a few stops north of Mathews Arm.
