After Elias' soccer practice, we bought a double "sport" stroller from a family in Rockville (craigslist), and headed to Shenandoah. The stroller worked excellently, allowing us to extend our range beyond the two miles or so that Elias can make it and with none of the usual complaints inevitable during those two miles. It also allowed Graham to get out and walk more frequently than when he's in the backpack. The stroller really only is suited for the fire roads though, as most trails are too rough I think.
Weakley Hollow fire road is the first part of the trail to Old Rag, the most popular and possibly most challenging trail in the park.
