Interestingly, the translation of wunderbar is "wonderful". Modern english versions of the Psalm say "awesome". King James and other versions say God's works are "terrible" or "fearful" or to be feared. As I understand it, this is a reference to the fact that he has done "terrible" things to enemies (Egypt). So a little mis-applied here, but it seemed appropriate at the time.
