The city wall walk, which begins near the river and runs uphill along a remaining section of city wall
OK, so you can't go to a german speaking country without chuckling about the verb fahren which means to drive. I won't mention it more than once, but it is obligatory. So, the highway exits all have a huge sign labeled "AUSFAHRT", and here this truck "LOGISTICS IN FAHRT" (which was backing down this street because it couldn't turn around). Etc, etc.

The second old bridge Spreuerbrücke

The Lion Monument, a French Revolution war memorial
A butcher in Luzern where the sausages are happy and have arms
On the road to Andermatt, massive traffic jam for miles (I mean kilometers). Nothing more fun than climbing a mountain pass road in a manual transmission in a traffic jam. But hey, the scenery was great!

Climbing through Andermatt on highway 2, and then southwest towards Fiesch

Our Ford Kuga

One of regions I would like have spent more time in, the valley of the Goms is full of really authentic looking villages and remote mountain scenes.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alpina in this small (and deserted in summer) ski/mountain resort area of Fiescheralp.
