There are several small villages in the La Gruy\u00e8re area, including Broc, where the Callier\/Nestle chocolate factory is, Mol\u00e9son, the high village with mountain activities and dairies, and the town on the hill with the castle.<\/p>\n<p>We toured the cheese making facility, which included samples of course, but was somewhat disappointing only because they were ahead of schedule and we missed the good part.  That is, they had already packed the molds when we arrived even though we were early. Then as the clouds began to lift we headed for Montreux and the big castle there.<\/p>\n<p>In the evening we returned to Gruy\u00e8res for what else but a fondue dinner and meringue, ice-cream, and double cream for dessert.
